Admission Requirements – Choreography and Performance Tracks
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dance (B.Dance) or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a specialization in Dance
- Professional practitioners in the field of dance holding a Bachelor’s degree in another discipline will be required to complete prerequisite courses as a condition for admission
- A minimum overall GPA of 80 in undergraduate studies, and a minimum grade of 85 in the major field of study (Choreography / Performance)
- Admissions interview: Applicants will be interviewed by the program’s admissions committee
- Submission of a portfolio to the admissions committee, including at least three dance/performance works created or performed in recent years
Admission Requirements – Pedagogy Track (M.A. in Dance)
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dance (B.Dance) with a teaching certificate, or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a specialization in Dance
- Active dance educators holding a Bachelor’s degree in another discipline will be required to complete prerequisite courses as a condition for admission (in certain cases, the possibility of completing a teaching certificate in Dance concurrently with the first year of the program will be considered)
- A minimum overall GPA of 85 in undergraduate studies and in the Dance teaching certificate
- Admissions interview: Applicants will be interviewed by the admissions committee
- Submission of documentation to the admissions committee, as required, including three items selected from the following options (applicants may choose one option or combine between them):
- Excerpts from a lesson taught by the applicant
- A choreography excerpt for students or documentation from a performance
- At least two dance/performance works created or performed in recent years
