Admission Requirements
- Ear training level in the entrance examination – at least Level 3
- Performance level in the entrance audition – equivalent to at least the standard required for direct admission to the second year*
- A full matriculation certificate (Bagrut) with an average grade of at least 90 – admission to the direct track is not possible without a complete matriculation certificate
If the admissions committee determines, based on the entrance examination, that the applicant is suitable for admission to the second year, the candidate may be recommended for acceptance to the direct track. A special admissions committee, including the Dean and the Head of Department, will approve admission to the direct track.
It is also possible to join the program in the second year. The condition for admission at this stage is successful completion of all required courses of Year 1 with a minimum average grade of 93.
An individualized study plan will be developed for each student in accordance with their academic program by the Head of the Student Affairs Office.
Discontinuation of Studies by the Institution
At the end of each academic year, the institution will review whether the student has fulfilled the academic requirements of that year of study. If a student does not meet these requirements, the institution reserves the right to discontinue their participation in the direct track.
In such cases, the student may continue their studies toward a Bachelor’s degree in the regular four-year program.
Tuition Fees in the Direct Track
Tuition fees for the first three years will be charged at the undergraduate rate, and tuition fees for the additional two years will be charged at the graduate rate.
Regarding institutional reporting: in the fourth year of the program, the student will be reported to the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) / Planning and Budgeting Committee (PBC) as a Master’s degree student.
Final Examinations in the Major Field
At the end of the first semester of the third year, the student will take the Year 3 final examination. At the end of the second semester of the same year, the student will perform a Bachelor’s degree final recital.
During the fourth year of the program, the student will complete the required courses of Year 4 and begin Master’s-level studies with conditional status.
Eligibility for the Bachelor’s degree will be granted only upon completion of Year 4 and subject to fulfilling all undergraduate requirements.
A student who does not complete the requirements for the Bachelor’s degree by the end of the fourth year will have their graduate studies suspended until those requirements are fulfilled.
* This does not constitute automatic admission to the second year, but rather indicates the required performance threshold only. Students admitted to the program will be registered as full-time students in Year 1. Admission to advanced years is not permitted.
