Oded Graf is a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and leading mentor in the field of dance. He is the co-artistic director of the Yossi Berg & Oded Graf Dance Theatre, which he co-founded in 2005 with his partner, Yossi Berg. Since its establishment, the company has toured extensively בארץ ובעולם, performing at prestigious theaters and international dance festivals, including The Joyce Theater in New York, the Montpellier Dance Festival in France, SIDance in South Korea, the American Dance Festival, and Dansens Hus in Sweden.
Graf has created works for dance companies, opera houses, and universities across Europe, the United States, Canada, and Israel. His work has earned him and his company numerous international awards, as well as recognition in Israel, including the Ministry of Culture Awards for Choreography and Creation (2013, 2015, 2019) and the Rosenblum Prize for Outstanding Choreographers.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities from the Open University of Israel and a Master’s degree in Choreography, Dance, and Theory from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. In 2014, he served as the artistic director of the Machol Shalem Dance Festival in Jerusalem. From 2020 to 2024, he was the artistic director of “Curtain Up” (Haramat Masach), the flagship dance project of the Israeli Ministry of Culture. Since 2024, he has been teaching in the Master’s Degree Program at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
Graf is regarded as one of the most prominent and influential voices in Israeli contemporary dance, distinguished by a unique movement language, boundary-pushing artistic work, and a sustained international presence.
